How does one learn more and reduce social media use? Don’t.
Learning something new is exhilarating. But we live in a noisy world right now and for some of us (pointing only at myself) we can’t even maintain our streaks on Duolingo. There are so many things which seem more desirable to us. Be it scrolling, scrolling and a little more scrolling. I have been struggling with that myself and I’m not even an avid social media user!
So how does one learn more and reduce social media use? Don’t. What worked for me was to take one tiny step. It was as small as reading one line from a book. Just one. That seemed doable. I could do that. So I did. And it helped.

Very soon I was reading multiple paragraphs in one sitting. Those “busy schedules” freed up and I learnt quite a bit, very quickly. That’s what we’re trying to build for everyone at Phrazee. An app where people can read one line at a time. A line which in itself is so profound that it can have larger ripple effects in everyone’s lives.
That’s it?
No, along with the phrase, we’re trying to provide the explanations and action steps that people can start to apply, which would make the fruits of reading that one line even sweeter.
